The Adaptive optics (AO) European Summer School - organised in the framework of the ORP Project - will take place as an online event on 13-17 June 2022. The Summer School will cover the basics of adaptive optics across applications in vision science, ophthalmology, astronomy, microscopy, free space optics and beyond, including live lectures and demonstrations, lab tours, and a live demo from the Very Large Telescope in Chile.
Adaptive optics (AO) is developed and used in a range of application areas, from observing microscopic cells to distant galaxies. While the implementation and challenges are different between fields, the basic principles of AO are common. This summer school aims to bring together students and researchers from across the range of AO domains to learn together and develop connections with one another.
The course will be delivered via Zoom by experts from across the different application areas of AO.
Registration is now open and early-bird registration is possible until 13 May 2022.
