The Opticon RadioNet Pilot has designed activities that aim to develop and implement improvements in the facilities and their instrumentation, and to improve the services the infrastructures provide. Thus, Researchers will benefit from an increased focus on user needs. Expanding expert support, enlarging the community able to exploit the newest most exciting capabilities, relatively small additional-cost upgrades of recent very major capital investments, and exploiting innovative new materials to enhance instrument performance, ensures a new generation of researchers is educated and ready to optimally exploit all the essential tools for their research.
