Twenty students from 10 countries participated in the 2022 NEON Observing School, funded by the ORP Project at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence in Southern France on 2-14 October 2022.

The 2022 NEON Observing School aimed to train students on the use of professional telescopes including  all the steps from planning observations to analysing the data.

The students worked with five experienced tutors who lead science projects in various topics in stellar astrophysics, transient astrophysics and extragalactic astronomy. The school also included lecturers on different observing techniques and other topics like proposal writing and careers in science.
