The Workshop “Horizons for Optical Long Baseline Interferometry” will take place from 27–29 January in Meudon, France. It builds on the ESO announcement “Expanding Horizons: Transforming Astronomy in the 2040s”, which seeks to define the next flagship facility for ESO.
Its objective is to explore future breakthroughs enabled by very high angular resolution in the optical and infrared domains. The event also commemorates the 40th anniversary of the ESO Interferometry Working Group's formation and celebrates the visionary contributions of their VLTI Interim Report.
